Court-Appointed Translator

What is Court-Appointed Translator?

A court-appointed translator certifies with their official stamp and signature that the translation they have produced is identical to the original document.

They translate written or spoken material to ensure its validity in official and legal contexts, and by affixing their stamp and signature, they guarantee the accuracy and authenticity of the translation.

Apostille

An Apostille is a judicial authentication. In essence, it is a certification placed on a document by a court, making it valid for use abroad.
The court’s authentication ranks above that of a notary public and a court-appointed translator.

Apostilles are issued at the Municipal Civil Court in the morning hours, Monday through Thursday.

The usual processing time is one day; however, if you urgently need an Apostille, we recommend submitting your document to the court early in the morning (by 9 a.m.) so that you can obtain it the same day.

Translation Process

The goal of an authorized translator – court-appointed translator is to produce a translation that is fully equivalent to the original text in content, style, and terminology. This requires a systematic, careful, and highly professional approach.

The process begins with a client inquiry and submission of the document.
Documents can be delivered:

  • in person at our office,
  • by email at nexus.lingua@gmail.com, or
  • through our online form.

After reviewing the document, we prepare a detailed non-binding quote specifying the price and delivery deadline.
We only begin the translation process once the client provides written confirmation of the offer. Upon acceptance, we issue an invoice and start the translation.

Before translation, the document is carefully read and analyzed.
If the text is highly specialized, we may contact the client during the process to ensure content, stylistic, and terminological accuracy.
In exceptional cases, we also prepare a custom glossary of specialized terminology.

After completion, we contact the client, and upon receipt of proof of payment, the certified translation is delivered electronically and/or by regular mail.
If preferred, the translation can also be collected directly at our office.
