Lingua Nexus respects your privacy and protects your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (OG 42/18).

This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, for what purposes we process it, on what legal grounds and what your rights are.

Within the framework of providing legal services and operating the website, we may process the following categories of personal data:

basic identification data (name, surname, OIB, address, contact details),

data necessary for the exercise and protection of clients’ rights,

data arising from business communication with clients, potential clients and third parties,

data collected via the website (e.g. IP address, cookies, data from the contact form).

We process personal data exclusively for purposes that are in accordance with our legal activities and legal obligations, namely:

for the purpose of fulfilling legal obligations (e.g. keeping legal files, mandatory retention of documentation),

for the purpose of protecting legitimate interests (e.g. ensuring the functioning of the system, preventing abuse),

based on the consent of the data subject – for example, to respond to inquiries sent via the contact form or to use non-essential cookies.

Our website uses only necessary technical cookies that enable the basic functioning of the website.

We do not use cookies for advertising, visitor tracking or third-party analytics.

The user can manage cookies through their browser settings.

5. Data recipients

Your personal data will not be forwarded to third parties, except:

when necessary to exercise your rights and interests (e.g. to competent courts, public authorities, other lawyers),

when required by the Croatian Bar Association within its powers.

The Branko Kobaš Law Office does not transfer personal data to third countries outside the European Union.

Personal data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or within the periods prescribed by special laws and the Code of Lawyers’ Ethics.

After the expiry of the legal deadlines, the data is deleted or anonymized.

You have the right at any time to:

correction of inaccurate data,

erasure (“right to be forgotten”),

restriction of processing,

data portability,

objection to processing.

8. Data security

Lingua Nexus applies appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, destruction or misuse.
Only persons authorized to process personal data have access to personal data, in accordance with the rules of the legal profession and the duty to maintain legal confidentiality.

9. Privacy Policy Changes

This Privacy Policy may be changed from time to time to comply with applicable regulations or to improve the protection of personal data.
